Cyclist Struck By Delivery Truck On UES Street: FDNY

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A cyclist was hit by a delivery truck on an Upper East Side street Friday morning, officials said.

At about 11:20 a.m., a man riding a bicycle near East 96th Street and Second Avenue was hit by a Fedex delivery truck, according to FDNY officials and social media images.

First responders rushed the injured man to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, officials said.

An FDNY spokesperson could not confirm the extent of the man's injuries.

NYPD officials did not have further details of the incident at the time of publication.
