UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was found dead aboard a subway train this weekend, according to police.

Authorities responded to an emergency call for help aboard an uptown 6 train inside the 59 st-Lexington Avenue station at around noon on Saturday, officials said.

Officers found a man onboard the train who was unconscious and unresponsive, police said.

Minutes later, first responders declared the man dead at the scene, officials said.

Police did not provide details as to the man's age or any other information surrounding the shocking circumstances.

While an investigation is ongoing and the medical examiner has yet to announce a cause of death, a police spokesperson said there is no signs of criminality in connection to the death.
