UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Frick Collection's first-ever all-day cafe, Westmoreland, opens Friday.

The cafe's opening marks the completion of a four-year, $220 million effort to renovate the intimate Upper East Side museum.

Located on the expanded second floor of the Frick Collection, the new cafe will serve an elevated mix of classic cafe fare, like pastries, coffee, and tea, in addition to savory dishes, including salads, pastas and soups. The cafe also has a cocktail and mocktail menu.

The menu — designed by Executive Chef Skyllar Hughes — takes nods from the Frick family's historic menus, as well as seasonal and local produce, like the cafe's berry tart, favored by Adelaide Frick, the wife of the museum's founder.

"As we continue to celebrate the Frick’s grand reopening, we are thrilled to debut the museum’s first-ever café," said Axel Rüger, the museum's director.

"The new amenity helps bring our institution into the twenty-first century, and it will provide our visitors and members with a respite to enjoy conversation about the collection over refined food and beverages."

Inside the cafe, standout features include a dreamlike mural, herringbone marble floors, murano glass pendant lights, dark wood tables and banquets, and furnishings inspired by the Frick mansion and its green spaces.

The cafe opens on Friday as an amenity for museum ticket holders, and same-day reservations can be made onsite at the museum.

The cafe, like the museum, will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and until 9 p.m. on Fridays.

The Frick Collection is located at 1 East 70th St.
