UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Upper East Side is set to lose a "Quality" steakhouse in November, as well as the last of a mini-chain that spanned Manhattan.

Quality Eats, a steakhouse on the corner of Second Avenue and East 78th Street, will close its doors for good six years after opening, according to a worker at another restaurant under the same ownership.

First reported by Upper East Site, the final day for Quality Eats on the Upper East Side is Nov. 13.

The location was the last standing of a mini-chain of steakhouses in Manhattan, with former Quality Eats locations in both Greenwich Village and Nomad.

Owner Michael Stillman — the restaurateur behind Smith & Wollensky and son of the TGI Friday's founder — said at the time of the Greenwich Avenue location's closure just two months ago that his restaurant group, Quality Branded, "have a lot in the works for the upcoming year and wanted to put our energy into focusing on those project," he told Eater.
