UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A mom-and-pop toy store that has operated on the Upper East side for nearly a decade launched a going out of business sale on Friday.

Fantastic Kids Toys will be closing in the near future and is offering 30% off all items at the Third Avenue and East 85th Street store. The family-owned business opened nine years ago in the neighborhood, according to a message posted to the store's Instagram page.

"It was with great sadness that we inform you that Fantastic Kids will be closing it's doors after 9+ years on the UES. Thank you everyone for the love, support and welcoming us to the community almost 10 years ago," the note reads.

The note encouraged customers to come by the store to "just say hello" and offer a final goodbye to owners. An employee who answered the phone on Friday told Patch that she couldn't provide information on the store's impending closure.
