Fire Breaks Out In Lenox Hill Building: FDNY

The fire left a ground-floor pediatrician's office shuttered but no injuries were reported, officials said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A blaze broke out on Saturday inside of a Lenox Hill building on Saturday, according to FDNY officials, leaving at least one pediatrician's office still shuttered as a result on Monday.

The flames broke out at 116 East 66 St. — a 13-story, 58-unit building between Lexington and Park avenues — at about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, officials sad.

60 firefighters and first responders sped to the scene, fighting the blaze for about 45 minutes until it was brought under control by midnight, according to FDNY officials.

No injuries were reported, but at least one medical space on the ground floor — a pediatrician's office — remained closed as of Monday, according to a source.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials said.
