UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A crook has been casting stealing spells inside the new Barnes & Noble on the Upper East Side, stealing an assortment of Harry Potter-related goods — including a toy magic wand, according to police.

The mysterious magical thief visited the bookstore multiple times on Sept. 30, officials said.

And each visit, according to police, the crook was only interested in one thing: Harry Potter.

Apparently the thief targeted the wizarding world exclusively, grabbing Harry Potter notebooks, books and even a Harry Potter wand before leaving the Third Avenue bookstore without paying over the multiple visits, according to officials.

Police said they did not have a description of the suspect nor did they confirm if they had any surveillance footage.
