Man Grabs Woman On Upper East Side Street, Videotapes Her: Police

The man behind the 10 a.m. Yorkville grab is also thought to have committed two similar acts nearby in Harlem, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man grabbed a woman's behind in a brazen mid-morning attack and then filmed her on his cell phone, police said.

According to officials, the same man is behind two similar attacks just north of the neighborhood in Harlem.

The Upper East Side incident took place in Yorkville on Sept. 20th as a 24-year-old woman waked down Second Avenue near East 91st Street at 10 a.m., police said.

An unknown man approached the young woman from behind and grabbed her buttocks while filming her on his phone before fleeing on foot, according to police.

In Harlem, the man attacked on two other occasions earlier in September on Madison Avenue and East 103rd Street, and on Third Avenue and East 100th Street, police said.

Both of those incidents were nearly identical to the Upper East Side attack, according to a police spokesperson.

Officials released an image of a person they said was connected to the attacks and further described him as appearing to be around 25-year-old.
