Man Punches, Robs Early AM Subway Rider In UES Station: NYPD
Police say a crook slugged and robbed a 30-year-old man on Friday at a Lenox Hill station, then robbed another in Astoria on Monday.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was brutally mugged inside an Upper East Side subway station in the early morning hours on Friday, police said, and then robbed another man on Monday inside an Astoria subway station.
As a 30-year-old man stood on the uptown Q train platform inside the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street subway station at about 1:30 a.m., a stranger walked up behind him, according to officials.
The man stole the straphanger's wallet and punched him in the face, officials said, adding that the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Police said that after the weekend, the same mugger struck again on Monday in Astoria inside the 46th Street Station just after 3 p.m., ripping a necklace right off the neck of another 30-year-old man.
Police released surveillance footage obtained from the Upper East Side theft.
