Man Shot, Wife Punched Outside Upper East Side Bar: NYPD
A person shot a man early Wednesday morning after an argument near a neighborhood bar took a bad turn, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was shot and his wife punched after an argument outside an Upper East Side bar turned violent early Wednesday morning, police said.
A 32-year-old man was shot once in the left leg after leaving a bar at the corner of Second Avenue and East 76th Street at around 3 a.m., according to police.
He was rushed to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The man's 29-year-old wife was also punched in the face but refused medical attention at the scene, officials said.
An Upper East Side comedian caught the sounds of the gunfire while recording a livestream, capturing nine gunshots, according to a clip of Keanu Thompson's show shared on the website X, formerly known as Twitter.

“For Christ’s sake, it’s the Upper East Side!” the stand-up-comic later told the New York Post.
According to police, the violence was sparked by an argument outside of the bar between another man, still at large as of Wednesday morning. According to Fox5, a woman was also involved with the gunman.
Police did not have a suspect description to share, but they said investigators collected ballistics evidence at the scene, suggesting that there were multiple rounds fired.
Officials could not confirm how many bullets were fired in total.
NYPD officers were seen towing away a grey Jeep SUV dressed with crime scene tape hours after the shooting.
