Man's Body Pulled From Central Park Lake, Police Say
The decomposing body of a man in his 20s was pulled from The Lake on Friday, according to police.
CENTRAL PARK — A young man's body was pulled from The Lake in Central Park Friday afternoon, according to police.
A park maintenance worker made the gruesome discovery shortly after 2 p.m., near the west side of the lake close to 79th Street, an NYPD spokesperson said.
The body, an unidentified man in his 20s, was fully clothed and partially decomposed, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner will determine how the man died, police said.
Friday's discovery comes about two months after police declared a homicide in the death of Elvis Garcia, a 26-year-old homeless man who was discovered last fall with a rope around his neck in a meadow on the park's east side.
