Detectives "don't suspect foul play" in the death of a 39-year-old man found with head trauma inside the Normandie Court tower, police say.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The death of a man inside an Upper East Side apartment tower on Monday has been deemed non-suspicious, authorities said Friday.

The not-yet-identified 39-year-old man had been found with a head wound around 9:30 a.m., in a hallway inside the Normandie Court building at 225 East 95th St., authorities have said.

On Friday, the NYPD's 19th Precinct tweeted that detectives "don't suspect foul play & have deemed it non-suspicious at this time."

A spokesperson for Normandie Court, citing conversations with the man's family, told Patch that the death may have stemmed from a medical episode.

The city's medical examiner will determine the man's cause of death, according to police. That agency did not respond to a request for comment on the incident.

Police have said the man's name was being withheld pending family notification.
