New Lenox Hill Thai Spot To Open This Winter
The appropriately named Lenox Thai aims to open their doors by November.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Neighbors in Lenox Hill might have already noticed that First Avenue is getting a new Thai place.
LenoxThai is taking over the former home of the Wong Asian Food Chinese restaurant at 1217 First Ave., near East 66th Street.
The restaurant will offer delivery and catering, according to their Instagram page.

From the outside, workers appear to be hard at work renovating the space, which was home to the former restaurant for almost 30 years.
A representative from the restaurant shared with Patch that they were aiming for a grand opening in November, adding that they were "excited!"

"We are excited to be a part of community," reads the sole post on their Instagram account.
While the neighborhood suffers no shortage of Thai restaurants, the corner of Lenox Hill where LenoxThai is will not be encumbered by an oversaturated market, with the nearest Thai restaurant over five blocks away.
Meanwhile on Second Avenue, two of the neighborhood's current Thai mainstays, Up Thai and THEP sit just a block apart.
