Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Early Morning UES Crash: NYPD
The 65-year-old woman — the second pedestrian hurt in an East 68th Street car crash in two days — remains in bad shape, cops said Thursday.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman crossing a Lenox Hill street was hit by a car early Thursday morning, in what could be a fatal crash, police said.
A 65-year-old woman was crossing York Avenue near East 68th Street about 6:20 a.m. when a Toyota Rav4 turned left and knocked her down, police said.
The crash took place kitty corner from New York Presbyterian - Weil Cornell Medical Center, where first responders rushed the woman in critical condition, police said.

Her injuries were severe enough to potentially prove fatal, police said.
The male driver, 29, remained at the scene and the NYPD are still investigating the incident, officials said.

The crash is the second to injure a pedestrian in two days along East 68th Street.
On Tuesday, a woman was hit by a red Chevy Silverado pickup truck a block away on East 68th Street and First Avenue, just steps from a popular playground at St. Catherine's Park.
She was in stable condition when brought to New York Presbyterian - Weil Cornell Medical Center, officials said.
