UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A person was killed after jumping in front of a train at an Upper East Side subway station Monday afternoon, officials said.

At about 2:13 p.m., an uptown 4 train hit a 48-year-old man at the the Lexington Ave - 59th Street station, according to police.

According to police sources, the man jumped in front of the train.

First responders declared the man dead at the scene, officials said.

Uptown bound 4/5 trains are running on the local tracks as emergency teams work to aid the person, according to an MTA social media post, and that riders should expect delays for the Lexington Avenue line.
