Police Activity At 86th Street Disrupts Q Train Service
Service on the Q and M trains has since resumed.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Service on the Q and M trains had resumed as of 10:45 a.m. following police activity at the 86th Street Station, the MTA said.
Northbound Q trains were ending service at 57th Street-7th Avenue and M trains going to 96th Street were ending service at Chambers Street on the J line, according to an advisory from the MTA.
Officials said to continue to anticipate delays as trains resumed regular service.

An NYPD spokesperson told Patch that a person believed to have stolen something from a store ran onto the train tracks. The person has not been located.
The spokesperson said no injuries were reported.
