Shots Fired Inside Yorkville NYCHA Tower: Police

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An unknown number of people fired at least three shot inside the upper floor of a NYCHA building in Yorkville on Monday afternoon, police said.

At about 4:15 p.m., a person — or multiple people, police could't specify — fired a gun inside the 20th floor of the Holmes Towers on East 92nd Street and First Avenue, officials said.

Police said they recovered three shell casings at the scene, but said they had few details on the indoor shooting, including where exactly the shooting occured, any suspect descriptions or even how many people were reportedly involved in the shooting.

There were no reported injured from the gunfire, a NYPD spokesperson told Patch.
