UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A longtime Chinatown favorite has moved to First Avenue and is holding their grand opening this Wednesday, according to reports.

Super Taste Restaurant, heralded by New York Magazine as serving "one of the city’s best bowls of beef noodles for a pittance," took over the former home of Harvest at 1502 First Ave. between East 78th and 79th streets and promises to deliver tasty Lanzhou noodles to the neighborhood.

The owner's son, Johnson, told East Side Feed that his father opened the Chinatown location over 20 years ago because he missed the signature noodles from Lanzhou, a city in northwest China.

Johnson, who said he has been involved with the family business since he was a child, told East Side Feed that he would be managing the new Upper East Side outpost.

If not for his efforts, his father would have been set to shutter the business after the kids graduated college, but Johnson pledged to take over the business operations — and eventually the whole operation — so that the city doesn't lose “some of the best Chinese food in the world,” he told East Side Feed.

Grub Street listed Super Taste at number seven on a list called "The Absolute Best Dumplings in New York" in 2016.

The new spot is reportedly even cozier than the already notoriously small seven-table Eldridge Street location, offering mostly counter service and only four tables, according to East Side Feed.

The menu includes an array of highly-praised soup, noodle and dumpling options, with Johnson telling the local news site that his favorite dish is the beef dan-dan noodles.
