Woman Killed By Q Train At UES Station, Police Say
A law enforcement source said the woman was seen walking on the tracks.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman was struck and killed by a Q train on the Upper East Side on Wednesday evening, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the 23-year-old woman was struck by a southbound Q train at the East 72nd Street station at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday.
A law enforcement source said the woman was seen walking on the tracks, and the train driver couldn't stop the train in time. No criminality is suspected, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. An investigation into the incident is underway, police said. Police are withholding the woman's name until her family can be properly notified.
As of Wednesday morning, all Q trains are running as normal.
