Woman Punched, Pepper Sprayed Seniors On UES Train: NYPD

Police said a woman punched and pepper sprayed a pair of seniors on an Upper East Side train on Monday, and earlier punched a Midtown rider.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A young man and a pair of seniors were attacked by the same woman aboard trains in Midtown and the Upper East Side, police said.

While riding on a downtown 6 train near East 77th Street on Monday, an unknown woman started arguing with a 62-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man, police said.

As they exited the train, the instigating woman then punched the man in the face and then sprayed both victims with pepper spray, police said.

Both victims were brought by first responders to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition and the attacking woman fled the station on foot, according to authorities.

And police say this wasn't even her first subway attack in September.

Officials claim that on Sept. 13, the same woman punched a 23-year-old man in the head onboard a downtown 4 train near East 42nd Street.

Police released images of the suspect and ask that anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA(74782).
