Woman Robbed In Sunday Afternoon UES Bag Grab: Police
A woman was robbed by crooks riding a moped on Fifth Avenue in the middle of a Sunday afternoon, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman was robbed in Carnegie Hill on Sunday by bag-grabbing crooks on a moped, according to a police spokesperson.
The 35-year-old woman was walking on Fifth Avenue near East 87th Street at about 1:30 p.m. when the robbers on a moped drove up and ripped her purse from her, police said.
Officials said the crooks then sped north — against traffic — up Fifth Avenue.

Police said that there was more than one person on the moped but were unable to offer further specificity.
The victim said she was uninjured from the attack and police said the investigation is ongoing.
