Woman Struck By Pickup Truck In Lenox Hill: FDNY
A woman was struck by a pickup truck on East 68th Street at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, according to officials and reports.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A young woman was hit by a pickup truck on a busy Upper East Side street in the middle of the workday on Tuesday, officials said.
According to FDNY officials, a young woman was struck by a vehicle on First Avenue and East 68th Street at around 2 p.m.
Images on social media show a huge group of firefighters and emergency responders surround a red Chevy Silverado pickup truck stopped on the crosswalk in an attempt to rescue the woman who, according to one video, was trapped underneath.

The woman was then brought to New York Presbyterian/Weil Cornell Medical Center just a block down the street from the crash.
Police and fire officials had no further information on the condition of the victim or the driver of the red pickup truck.

The truck has been issued at least three school zone speeding tickets in the past year, according to HowsMyDriving.nyc.
