Body Pulled From Hudson River Near Riverside Park, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is investigating the death of a woman who's body was recovered Tuesday night from the Hudson River along Riverside Park in the Upper West Side, police said.

Police responded to a call of a body floating in the river near West 109th Street around 8 p..m. Tuesday night, an NYPD spokesman said. Harbor units pulled the woman from the river and transported her to the 79th Street Boat Basin where EMS pronounced the woman dead, police said.

Investigators are attempting to identify the woman and the city medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, police said.
