Middle Eastern-Latin Restaurant Opening On The Upper West Side

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A popular Middle Eastern-Latin restaurant that served up to 60,000 meals a week to frontline workers and food insecure New Yorkers during the pandemic is opening its third location on the Upper West Side this week.

The Migrant Kitchen will have its soft opening Wednesday at 157 Columbus Ave. (near West 67th St.).

"Did you hear the news? Our kitchen is growing because we're migrating to the Upper West Side," the restaurant wrote on its Instagram.

The soft launch will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Migrant Kitchen serves up Jerusalem bagels, sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches, avocado toast, grilled halloumi and chorizo bowls, slow-roasted smoked pork, empanadas, cauliflower shawarma wraps, crispy chicken sandwiches, and more.

The Migrant Kitchen started as a catering service before quickly evolving into a restaurant, there are also locations on the Upper East Side and in downtown Brooklyn.

A portion of every meal purchased goes toward providing meals to New Yorkers in need.

During the pandemic, The Migrant Kitchen began serving food to frontline healthcare workers, and upped its numbers to 60,000 meals a week to food insecure communities across New York City.
