
An early morning fire heavily damaged a home on Barberry Road Monday.
The blaze broke out at about 1:30 a.m. said Morena Morales, who lives next door to the home.
"The fire department came knocking on the door," she said. "My husband was so nervous because he thought our house was on fire at first," Morales said. "The smoke came into our house."
Fortunately nobody was hurt. "They were on vacation," Morales said of the family of three who live in the home.
A section of the house was boarded up and gutted .
