John Mellencamp Announces Jones Beach Tour Date
The tour schedule features stops in 19 U.S. cities, with a cinematic trailer for the tour featuring actor Sean Penn.
WANTAGH, NY. — Long Island concert goers will have the chance to hear a little ditty about Jack and Diane this summer, as Indiana native John Mellencamp announced he would be playing a concert at the Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in his tour announcement Wednesday.
Announced on his website, the tour will open Jul. 10 in Grand Rapids, MI, and close Aug. 12 in Mountain View, CA. The Jones Beach concert will take place Jul. 26, and is the only New York performance scheduled on the tour.
Also posted Wednesday was a three-minute cinematic announcement for the tour, featuring Academy Award-winning actor Sean Penn.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Friday, Jan. 23, with pre-sales for certain customers taking place in the week leading up to the sale date.
