17-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Upper Manhattan: Police

UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — A teenager was shot and killed in Upper Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon, a police spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

A 17-year-old was shot in the chest about 4 p.m. at 2971 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, near West 157th Street within the Polo Grounds NYCHA complex, police said.

He was rushed to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

In the moments after the shooting, a male fled the scene, police said.
