2 Men Slashed In Washington Heights Amid Argument: NYPD

A fight broke out between four men in Washington Heights that resulted in two people hospitalized, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Two people were slashed in the head and the back after a fight broke out in Washington Heights, police said on Wednesday.

A 33-year-old man and a 26-year-old man got into an unknown argument with an unidentified man on March 12 about 4 a.m. near West 156th Street and Broadway, police said.

The argument became physical, and the unknown man eventually left for a short time, only to come back with another person, police said.

The fight kicked off again, police said.

The 33-year-old man was slashed in the head and the hands with an unknown object, and the 26-year-old man was slashed in the back and hit in the head with an unknown object, police said.

Both men were transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition, police said.
