3 People Hurt In Washington Heights Building Fire: FDNY
A blaze broke out Monday morning within a residential building at 509 W. 183rd St., FDNY told Patch.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A fire broke out Monday morning in a Washington Heights residential building that left three people injured, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The blaze ignited around 6:41 a.m. on the fourth floor of a five-story building at 509 W. 183rd St., FNDY said.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control by 7:25 a.m., but three residents suffered minor injuries, FDNY said.

Two of the three injured residents took themselves to a nearby hospital, while the third refused medical attention, FDNY said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
