5 People Injured In Washington Heights Fire: FDNY
A dangerous blaze broke out Monday morning in a residential building on 155th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam, FDNY said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A dangerous fire broke out Monday morning within a Washington Heights residential building, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
Five people were injured after a fire ignited around 5:30 a.m. at 509 W. 155th St., between Broadway and Amsterdam, FDNY said.
More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze on the sixth floor of the six-story uptown building, FDNY said.

The flames were under control by 6:30 a.m., but five people were injured, FDNY said.
One of the injuries was serious, but not life-threatening, and four other people suffered minor injuries, FDNY said.
