Washington Heights, Inwood COVID Testing: Here Are 8 Free Sites

Here's an updated list for the new week of sites where you can get free PCR and rapid COVID tests in Washington Heights and Inwood.

UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise in New York City, Patch put together a list of the sites in Washington Heights and Inwood where you can get a free test this week.

The sites include both PCR and rapid options and are located in Upper Manhattan parks, elected officials' offices, and churches.

There were a staggering 85,476 new cases COVID cases on Saturday in the state of New York, which smashed the previous all-time record.

Looking at data from the city, an incredible 18 neighborhoods in the five boroughs recorded a seven-day positivity rate of 40 percent or higher, and the majority of ZIP codes had a positive rate of 30 percent or higher from the week of Dec. 24-30, 2021.

Here's where you can get tested in Upper Manhattan. The tests are all free, ID and insurance cards are not needed, and vaccines are available at some of the sites.
