Annual Fort Tryon Park Fundraiser Set For September: What To Know

The Toast to Fort Tryon fundraiser will take place on Sept. 19 with live music, wine, and appearances from multiple elected officials.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The Fort Tryon Park Trust will have its annual Toast to Fort Tryon fundraiser on Sept. 19 to help raise money to sustain the 67-acre Upper Manhattan green space.

The event will kick off at 5 p.m. at the Fort Tryon Park Stan Michels Promenade and Heather Garden.

This year the Trust is honoring Council Member Mark Levine for his "role as a public health leader during COVID and before; both as Chair of the New York City Council's Health Committee and previously as Chair of the Council's Parks Committee."

During the event, the Trust also plans to make a special tribute to Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and Councilmember Ydanis Rodriguez "for their tireless support of Fort Tron Park and the communities that surround it."

The Toast to Fort Tryon will include wine, beer, hors d'oeuvres, and live music at sunset.

Event proceeds will specifically go to the park's horticulture, unique architectural elements and public programs the Fort Tryon Park Trust works in tandem with NYC Parks to provide to the community.

A limited number of $75 tickets are available online or you can pay $85 the day of in cash. You can buy the online tickets on the Fort Tryon Park Trust's website.

The event is for people 21 and over only and guests must show proof of vaccination to enter.
