Another Fire Burns Inwood Hill Park: FDNY
A fire broke out in Inwood Hill Park on Monday night, less than a week after a major blaze in the park burned about 4 acres.

INWOOD, NY – Inwood Hill Park was on fire – again – on Monday night, an FDNY spokesperson confirmed.
A brush fire in the park was reported at about 9:50 p.m., officials said, near Dyckman Street. Approximately 60 fire and EMS personnel responded to the blaze, which wasn’t under control until about 11:15 p.m. Officials couldn't confirm the size of the fire.
As of this time, no injuries have been reported.

A record number of brush fires have burned in the city in recent weeks, and Mayor Eric Adams declared a “drought warning” on Monday. Over the weekend, the FDNY announced the formation of a new task force focused on brush fires.
