Community League Of The Heights Open Streets Reopening Uptown
CLOTH sponsored Open Streets are reopening in Washington Heights and Inwood on Tuesday. Here's what to know.
UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — Open Streets sponsored by an iconic uptown organization are reopening next week.
A trio of Open Streets sponsored by the Community League of the Heights will reopen on Tuesday.
The three uptown streets for pedestrians and bikers will be open moving forward from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until August 19.

- 164th Street between Amsterdam and Edgecombe
- 159th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam
- Academy Street between Broadway and Vermilyea
Activities on the streets will include bingo, cooking classes, petting zoos, a disc jockey, other games, and magicians.

The streets will be blocked off to all non-emergency vehicles during the hours listed above.

The Community League of the Heights is a multi-service, community development organization dedicated to supporting and empowering the economically disadvantaged residents of Washington Heights.
It focuses on five services for community members: health and wellness, youth education, affordable housing, job readiness, and adult education.
Here are the other Open Streets in Washington Heights and Inwood, according to the city.
- West 196th Street from Broadway to Ellwood
- West 188th Street from Amsterdam to Audubon
- West 182nd from Amsterdam to Audubon
- West 158th Street from Broadway to Amsterdam (only an Open Street from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays)
