UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — The COVID-19 vaccination rate in Upper Manhattan continues to rise, data shows, as the new school year began and vaccine mandates took effect for New York City residents.

- All Residents: 64 percent have gotten one dose, 58 percent fully vaccinated
- Adults: 74 percent have gotten one dose, 67 percent fully vaccinated
10040: Washington Heights/Fort George
- All Residents: 66 percent have gotten one dose, 60 percent fully vaccinated
- Adults: 76 percent have gotten one dose, 69 percent fully vaccinated
10033: Washington Heights (North)

- All Residents: 65 percent have gotten one dose, 59 percent fully vaccinated
- Adults: 75 percent have gotten one dose, 68 percent fully vaccinated

- Adults: 78 percent have gotten one dose, 70 percent fully vaccinated
These numbers have grown by several percentage points from the rates in early September.
Boroughwide, 88 percent of adult residents are fully vaccinated, and 80 percent have at least one dose.
Citywide, 75 percent of adults are fully vaccinated, and 75 percent have gotten at least one dose.
After a dip in numbers, COVID vaccinations have been on the rise again since Mayor Bill de Blasio's series of mandates. The so-called "Key to NYC," which requires proof of vaccination at indoor restaurants, museums and gyms, took effect Aug. 16, with enforcement beginning Sept. 13. Citywide vaccination rates have likewise risen since then.
A statewide vaccine mandate for health workers went into effect Monday, spurring thousands of people to get their shots, while another mandate for city teachers will take effect 5 p.m. Friday — though teachers have appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court to block it.You can check out the Manhattan-wide vaccination numbers for yourself on the city's website.
