Construction Site Crash Injures Five In Inwood: NYPD
Police said no one was trapped after a boom truck collapsed at a Manhattan construction site Tuesday afternoon.

INWOOD, NY — A boom truck collapse at an Inwood construction site injured five people Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The boom truck, a smaller construction mechanism used similarly to a crane, collapsed just before 2:30 p.m. at a construction site near 9th Avenue and W 207th Street, according to the NYPD and FDNY.
Authorities treated five people with minor injuries — all five of whom were transported to area hospitals, according to the NYPD and FDNY.

Only one injury was serious but none were life threatening, authorities said.
It was not immediately clear whether those injured were construction workers, police said.

Emergency responders and Buildings department personnel remained on the scene later Tuesday afternoon.
