Free Latin Night Market To Debut In Inwood This Friday
The inaugural Latin Night Market will take place on Dyckman Street between Dyckman Plaza and Inwood Park. Here's what to know:
INWOOD, NY - Uptown foodies and Latin music connoisseurs, prepárense.
Dubbed the “grandest celebration of culinary creations from the Hispanic diaspora,” the inaugural Latin Night Market will take place on Sept. 22 from 4 to 10 p.m. on Dyckman Street in Inwood.
“Latin Night Market celebrates a collection of Central and South American gastronomies and beverages,” reads the event’s website. “This one-of-a-kind event will highlight live performances featuring genres such as salsa, reggae, rumba, jazz, Latin pop, and hip hop, as well as a selection of family-friendly activities, art installations, raffles, giveaways, and more.”

The event is organized by MASC Hospitality Group, the same team behind several night markets around New York City.
The event is free, though a $7 ticket is also offered for those who wish to be entered into a $100 raffle. The festivities will take place between Dyckman Plaza and Inwood Park.

Entertainment will be provided via multiple stages, featuring the bands Afro Dominicano, Los 9 Del Sabor and Mariachi Loco as well as dance performances from Xianix Barrera Flamenco and Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Nueva York. Musicians Lee Burgos and DJ Innato are also slated to perform.

While Friday may be the only market date this year, organizers say they’re trying to make the Latin Night Market a monthly event in 2024.
