Free Summer STEM Program Launched For Wash Heights HS Students
Registration is now open for free summer STEM courses from City College for HS students in Upper Manhattan's school district.
UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — For any high school students in Washington Heights or Inwood that are interested in learning more about subjects relating to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), registration is now open for the STEM Institutes free online summer program for rising 9th to 12th graders.
The program from City College's STEM Institute will be done in partnership with District 6 Middle Schools, and while all NYC public school students can apply — priority admission will be given to students who either live or attend schools in Northern Manhattan's Community District 6.
The STEM Institute summer program will give students a variety of options in picking an "intensive and enriching" 6-week curriculum course that will also offer high school elective credits in some cases.

The courses will run from July 1 to Aug. 12 and meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the selected days.

- Game Design (High School Credits Offered)
- Chemistry
- Financial Management
