French Film Festival Brings Free Movies To Washington Heights Park

There will be a screening of the movie "The Science Of Sleep."

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NEW YORK —The Films On The Green Festival is coming to Washington Heights this month.

Films On The Green, a festival that organizes free outdoor movie screenings around Manhattan, will be showing The Science Of Sleep in J. Hood Wright Park on July 12 at 8.30 p.m.

The Science Of Sleep tells the story of daydreamer Stéphane who falls for his neighbor Stéphanie, but their relationship is complicated by Stéphane's fantasy world.

The movie will be screened in French with Spanish subtitles.

This is the 10th year the outdoor French film festival Films On The Green has been held in the city. This year's curators include famed directors Wes Anderson and Jim Jarmusch.

Films On The Green is supported by the French Embassy, French American Cultural Exchange Foundation and NYC Parks Department.

This is a special screening in this year's festival, presented in partnership with the Mexican Cultural Institute of New York.
