Historic District Council To Host Conversation About Wash Heights

The conversation will include a native New Yorker who worked on the "In The Heights" set and a preservation architect.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The Historic District Council (HDC) is hosting a conversation at the end of March about Lin-Manuel Miranda's "In the Heights" and the uptown neighborhood it depicts.

"It offers an exceptional depiction of the Caribbean culture that has flourished in Upper Manhattan for the past decades and the music that is synonymous with the area’s vitality," an event page for the virtual conversation reads.

The talk will be led by the movie's Location Manager Samson Jacobson, as well as Angel Ayon, an HDC advisor and preservation architect.
