Inwood Barbershop Robbed At Gunpoint, Elderly Man Attacked: NYPD

Cops are looking for two men who busted into the Bayacan Barbershop at 131 Post Ave., and struck a 71-year-old man, police said.

INWOOD, NY — An Inwood barbershop was robbed at gunpoint and a 71-year-old man was pistol-whipped in the head, police said.

Around 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 27, two men burst into the Bayacan Barbershop at 131 Post Ave., before flashing a gun and demanding property and money, police said.

The duo also struck a 71-year-old man in the head with a gun, police said.

The pair then snatched $200, multiple cellphones, and fled in a gray Ford Fusion southbound on Post Avenue, police said.

The older man was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center with a cut on his head in stable condition, police said.

Here are what the two men were last seen wearing, according to police.

  • Individual 1: Last seen wearing a labor union vest, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, black face mask and a gray knit cap.
  • Individual 2: Last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers and a black LA Dodgers baseball cap.
