Bandits Punch, Attempt To Stab Man In Late-Night Subway Ambush: Police
A 35-year-old man was attacked by two people at the Dyckman Street A train station early Friday morning, officials said.

INWOOD, NY – A 35-year-old man was attacked by two unknown individuals – a man and a woman – at about 1:30 a.m. this morning on a subway platform in Inwood, a police spokesperson told Patch.
The victim was standing on the downtown-bound platform at Dyckman Street – the A line – when he was approached by a man who repeatedly punched him in the face, eventually pulling out a knife and attempting to stab him, police said.
At that point, the victim grabbed the knife, which resulted in a cut to his left hand, according to authorities.

It’s not clear what led to the attack, police said.
The two bandits, who officials described as a white Hispanic man and woman, fled to parts unknown.

Emergency responders transported the victim to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
