The George Washington Educational Campus is getting a revamped music program after the generous gift from the Washington Heights native.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — You're more likely to hear music in the halls of multiple high schools in Washington Heights after Lin-Manuel Miranda recently donated $40,000 of instruments to the George Washington Educational Campus.
Located at 549 Audubon Ave., the campus houses the High School for Media and Communications, The College Academy, the High School for Health Careers and Sciences, and the Hight School for Law and Public Service.
Miranda partnered with Latin GRAMMY In The Schools, which is part of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, to donate the instruments.
