E-Bike Rider, 73, Dies After Wash Heights Crash, NYPD Says
The man lost control riding an e-bike at the intersection of West 165th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — An elderly e-bike rider died after losing control of his ride in Washington Heights, according to police.
Jose Flamenco, 73, was found lying in the street with serious head injuries near West 165th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue about 3 p.m. Friday, police announced Tuesday.
Investigators said the Harlem man has been cycling north on St. Nicholas Avenue when he lost control of the bike and was thrown to the pavement.

Flamenco was rushed in critical condition to Harlem Hospital then transferred to Bellevue where he died, police said.
Police did not immediately respond to Patch's requests for more information about how Flamenco lost control and when he died.
