Man Clinging To Life After Stabbing In Manhattan: NYPD

The man was rushed to Columbia University Irving Medical Center in critical condition.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man is in critical condition on Monday morning after a stabbing incident inside a men's shelter at The Armory in Washington Heights, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, at 7:59 a.m. Monday, a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the torso inside 651 West 168th Street, which is The Armory.

The man was taken by private means to Columbia University Irving Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet, police said.

Authorities said the perpetrator is a man last seen wearing light blue pants and no shirt, carrying a brown shopping bag.
