Man Dies After Getting Shot In The Chest In Inwood: Police
A 27-year-old man was shot in the chest and killed on Friday near the corner of 10th Avenue and West 211 Street, according to police.
INWOOD, NY — A man was shot in the chest and killed early Friday morning in Inwood, according to the New York Police Department.
Officers found the 27-year-old man around 1:50 a.m. near the corner of 10th Avenue and West 211th Street with a gunshot wound to his torso, police said.
Police rushed the injured man to New York-Presbyterian Allen Pavilion Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A subsequent investigation revealed that a second man was also shot in the right hand on the same Inwood block Friday morning, police said. He was transported to the same hospital by private means, where he remains in stable condition.
Police did not offer any other details about what events led to the gunshots and death of the 27-year-old.
