Man Hit And Killed On Wash Heights Section Of Henry Hudson Parkway
The collision happened over the weekend on the Henry Hudson Parkway near the Dyckman Street exit, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man walking on a Washington Heights section of the Henry Hudson Parkway was hit and killed by a car over the weekend, police said.
A 27-year-old man was hit by a 2017 Dodge Caravan around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday as he was walking northbound in the right lane of the Henry Hudson Parkway near the Dyckman Street exit, police said.
He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital with severe trauma to his body, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver, 25, remained on the scene and did not sustain any injuries, police said.
There is a pedestrian path on the Henry Hudson Parkway, but police did not say why the 27-year-old man might have been walking on the highway.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
