A three-way crash on the Henry Hudson Parkway in July near the Dyckman Street entrance ramp turned deadly after one of the cars flipped.
INWOOD, NY — A 39-year-old man is dead after a scary car crash earlier in July on the Henry Hudson Parkway near the Dyckman Street entrance ramp, police announced on Thursday.
The man was driving a Dodge Viper southbound on the parkway on July 11 at "an apparent high rate of speed" when he clipped a Subaru Crossstrek traveling in the same direction, police said. The collision caused the Dodge Viper to jump the left shoulder barrier, strike a protruding rock on the side of the road, and flip.
The overturned car then reentered the Henry Hudson Parkway and sideswiped a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, before coming to a final rest on its roof, police said.
