Gunman In Michael Myers Mask Shoots 17-Year-Old Girl: NYPD

The suspect, disguised as the movie villain Michael Myers, shot a 17-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man on West 163rd Street.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Two people were shot early Thursday morning in Washington Heights by a man donning a Michael Myers mask, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. in front of a building on West 163rd Street between Broadway and Fort Washington Avenue, police said. A 17-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and a 24-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm, police said.

Both victims are expected to survive, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The suspect fled the scene after the shooting and has not been captured, an NYPD spokeswoman said. Police could not confirm a motive for the shooting, and said the crime is still under investigation.
