Man Shot In The Head And Robbed In Early Morning Inwood Attack

A 28-year-old man was shot around 6:45 a.m. Thursday at 183 Sherman Avenue, according to police. He's unlikely to survive.

INWOOD, NY — A 28-year-old man was shot in the head and robbed Thursday morning near 183 Sherman Avenue in Inwood, police said.

Medics rushed the man to Harlem Hospital after the 6:43 a.m. attack, but he's unlikely to survive, a police spokesperson told Patch.

There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The shooting and robbery Thursday morning rounds out a violent 24 hours for a neighborhood that saw three women get attacked in the nearby Inwood Hill Park. There have also been no arrests made in those attacks.
